Case Study

Challenge Redesign the lone bathroom in this tiny country cottage to optimize the space and physically separate the toilet from the bathing area.

Solution Install a walk-in shower so the deep, claw-foot tub no longer had to do double duty. Relocate the toilet to a water closet off the hall leading to the bathroom. Rearrange the components of the room to take best advantage of space and light.

Results The new design provides the homeowner easier access to the shower, while moving the toilet to a water closet ensures that baths or showers now can be relaxing and uninterrupted.

The new tile work, complete with custom mosaic inserts, adds immeasurably to the brightness and aesthetic appeal of this functionally enhanced space.
